Results are in from this year's Legislative Issues on-line survey. Just over 5,000 PTA members from across the state participated in the survey. Of the 5,007 participants 185 were from Shoreline.
Besides voting on what will be decided at this year's Legislative Assembly October 18-19th members could vote on what advocacy issues were of most importance to them. Here are Shoreline's top concerns (over 50 votes each) in order of total votes: 1. Smaller Class Size 2. Changing STEM to STEAM to include the arts 3. Fully Fund Basic Education 4. Importance of STEM 5. Quality Teachers Secondary topics of concern where: (30-50 votes each) 1. Literacy and Math Competency 2. Full Day Kindergarten 3. Highly Capable.
