“Holiday Baskets” Food, Toys, & Teen Gifts is the combined efforts of the Shoreline PTA Council, Shoreline Fire Department, Hopelink, Rotary Club of Lake Forest Park, the City of Shoreline, and Dale Turner Family YMCA to provide holiday food and gift support to Shoreline School District families in circumstances that make it challenging to provide either for their children. The Holiday Baskets program typically supports around 500 families. The Shoreline PTA Council coordinates a food drive and collection of teen gift cards throughout all of the Shoreline Schools. Toys are collected at various locations in the community.

The 2019 donation drive in the schools is being held from December 2 - 13.
Donations of nonperishable food and teen gift cards accepted at all Shoreline schools. Check with your local PTSA/PTA to find out the target food item for your school.
Click here to sign up to volunteer! Volunteers are needed to set up, distribute items to families, gift room “shopper” guides, hallway monitors, & cleanup. Most shifts are adults only. The distribution to families is done in strict confidence.
Eligibility Requirements for Holiday Basket Recipients: Must have a student in the Shoreline School District for the 2019-2020 school year OR a child 0-18 years of age living within the cities of Shoreline or Lake Forest Park.
TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT: The pre-registration deadline has passed. Walk-ins will be accepted onsite on December 14th after 4pm.

CHECK-IN TIME WILL BE ASSIGNED via a letter sent by US Mail (and email, if provided). Your letter with an assigned check-in time should arrive the week of December 2nd.
We ask that you leave your students/children at home to protect their privacy as well as the privacy of other students.
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and are used to support all Council programs, including the food drive and teen gift collection. Note "Holiday Baskets" to designate your donation. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
